While fact is a thing that is known or proven to be true. Journalists and Christians are all seekers of the truth. Journalists report it while other live it through faith. What happens when Christianity and Journalism Walk side by side? This blog article will focus on how Christianity and Journalism can cause an impact if they are together.

Christianity and Journalism shared value

At the heart of Journalism and Christianity there is a value that connects them which is Truth. In Journalism, the fundamental principle is truth, where journalists are obligated to deliver information that is accurate and honest at the time of reporting. Truth in biblical context, it is a divine principle and one the God’s standards that God want us to pursue. Truth is more than just facts. When these two paths meet, truth becomes a principle to transform lives.

How truth manifest in both

In Christianity, truth must be lived through honestly, morality and faithfully obeying the Word of God. We should reflect the character of God, the scripture says in Ephesians 5:1 “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children". It involves in speaking in love and guiding others to righteousness. Similarly, in Journalism truth is reflected in fair reporting, speaking for the voiceless and careful in facts verification. It demands a commitment to expose the darkness with light, accountability and integrity.

The impact of truth

When Journalism and Christianity Walk together in truth, they can give birth to the transformation of people’s lives and shape communities. Journalism give knowledge to people, but when it is driven by Christianity, is more than informing but it brings hope to people. When these two fields meet, truth becomes a light, that no one can distinguish.

In conclusion, at the end of the day, in truth, is where Christianity and journalism find their strength. When these two are rooted in truth the world will become a better place.
